My Journey Through the Cybersecurity Challenge Qualifiers

On the 8th and 9th of March, 2024, I embarked on an exciting journey. I, along with my team, participated in the Qualifiers of the Cybersecurity Challenge. Our team, aptly named
Object not found!

, consisted of four members: myself, Britt, Thor, and Jasper.
The Challenge
The challenge was a two-day event, starting at 10:00 on Friday morning and ending at 18:00 on Saturday evening. Teams from all over the Belgium were invited to solve various cybersecurity challenges on an online platform. The goal? To secure a place in the top 38 and advance to the semi-finals.
The Experience
Despite our best efforts, we didn't make it to the semi-finals. Out of the 290 teams that participated, we ended up in the 132th place. Although we didn't qualify for the next round, the experience was invaluable.
I personally felt that I could have done more preparation before the challenge. I managed to solve one of the problems, but I know I could have contributed more. Thor, on the other hand, was a star player in our team, solving many of the challenges. A big shoutout to him!
The Takeaway
Even though we didn't make it to the semi-finals, the experience was fun and enlightening. It was a great opportunity to put our skills to the test and learn from each other. The challenge not only tested our technical skills but also our teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
In conclusion, participating in the Cybersecurity Challenge Qualifiers was an enriching experience. It was a testament to the fact that success is not always about winning, but about learning and enjoying the process.
