Denken als een hacker: Ken je vijand om je organisatie veilig te houden
I was fortunate enough to attend a webinar during my internship at Savaco. Around 200 people registered for the webinar. The webinar was given by Kris Deleu and Loy Clynckemaillie, who work at Techne, a company that has become part of the Savaco group. Techne aims to be the copilot of its customers, helping them make the right choices.
The webinar began with a brief introduction to cybersecurity. We then discussed the goals of hackers, which varied depending on the type of hacker (such as red hat, black hat, white hat, etc.). We went over each type of hacker.
In between some of the chapters, we were asked questions like, "Who knows someone who has already been a victim of a cyber-attack?". I was shocked to see some of the numbers. Half of the people knew someone who had been a victim, and 13% had been victims themselves.
We also got to see a well-structured flowchart of how a hacker operates. They also discussed the dangers of AI and hackers, and how a dark web chatbot exists.
Last but not least, they discussed what you can do to avoid getting hacked. They also went over the options in Belgium and with Savaco. Belgian companies can work with VLAIO to get back on track.
As a Flemish SME, a Savaco cybersecurity improvement programme allows you to quickly make progress in the cybersecurity of your organisation. Based on an extensive screening of your current cybersecurity, our experts advise and guide you towards more cybersecurity maturity. Moreover, you can count on a VLAIO subsidy of 50% of the cost of your improvement programme.
