Visiting TUS Athlone ⚽
We had to wake up super early to catch the bus at 8 am for our trip to TUS Athlone. After grabbing breakfast at the hotel, we all met up in the lobby. The bus ride took about 2 hours, but it was cool checking out the countryside along the way.
We got to TUS Athlone around 10 am and were welcomed in this big room where they gave us a presentation all about TUS Athlone. After they finished talking about TUS Athlone we were giving a lesson about their national sport, Gaelic football. We were informed about all the rules of the game.

After all the information we were gathered in a sports hall where we had to do a teamworking event. First we had to dress more sporty. We were divided into groups and had to do different challenges. First we had a warm-up, then we got to teach each other about different moves in Gaelic football. It was not my cup of tea, but it was fun to try something new. I was not the only one who was not good at it, so that was a relief.

For some reason I am the worst in every ball sport there is. The only thing I like to do is padel and that is because I am somewhat decent at it.
After the teamworking event we had lunch at TUS Athlone. We had a nice lunch and then we had to get back on the bus to go to Ericsson.

Visiting Ericsson
We arrived at Ericsson around 2 pm. We were welcomed by a some employees who talked a bit about Ericsson while guiding us to the meeting room.

In the meeting room we had a presentation about Ericsson and what they do. They talked about their products and services and how they help their customers. We got a whole history lesson about Ericsson and how they started.
Ericsson filled us in on all things 5G, explaining how it works and delving into the future of 6G. After all the talk we got a tour of the whole data center. It was really cool to see all the servers and how everything works. The guide told us all how its powered and how they keep everything cool. It was amazing to see how much work goes into keeping everything running. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures inside the data center.

Around 5 pm we had to get back on the bus to go back to Dublin. Before we went on the bus we got to take a group picture with the Ericsson logo on the background.
