Travel to Dublin ✈️
Picture this: it's a ridiculously early 5am, and I'm dragging myself out of bed. I'm not a morning person, but today is different. Today, I'm going to Dublin! I'm excited to explore the city, and I can't wait to see what the week has in store for me. Shoutout to my awesome mom for being the real MVP and driving us to Brussels Airport. We roll up around 7am, just in time to grab a quick coffee before meeting up with the rest of the group.
At the connections booth we all gathered to then go to the bag drop off and ticket collection, making sure we all had our boarding passes and passports ready. Then we went through security and passport control. After that we had some time to grab a quick breakfast before boarding the plane.
Fast forward to 10am and we're itching to board the plane. We're all seated and ready to go, and before we know it, we're up in the air. The flight is smooth, and I'm feeling pretty good. The first couple of minutes I spend reading a book, but after that I got to talking with the persons next to me who were also part of the group. We talked about what we were looking forward to in Dublin, and before we knew it, we were landing.

Touchdown in Dublin feels surreal, but we're quickly back in the groove, breezing through customs and grabbing our bags. When everyone got their bags we went to the bus that would take us to the city center. The bus ride was short and we were dropped off at the hotel.

Our group didn't have our rooms yet, so we left our bags at the hotel and went to grab some lunch. New city, new food and what did we end up getting for food? McDonalds.
Exploring Dublin
After lunch we all needed to gather around 2pm to go on a walking tour of Dublin. We gathered by a bridge, which I don't remember the name of.. oops .

We took a lovely walk to Trinity College, where we needed to be by 4 pm. Along the way, we visited some famous places in Dublin like Temple bar,Dublin Castle, St. Patrick's Park and Cathedral, and the Molly Malone statue. One of our teachers told us interesting stories about each place, which made our sightseeing even more enjoyable. The teacher also made sure she had a picture of someone touching Molly Malone's boobs, which was hilarious. A street artist was playing music, which was a lot of fun.

At 4pm we arrived at the Trinity College where our teacher told us all about the college and some stories that happend there. The college is beautiful, and I loved the architecture.

At 5pm we got to visit the Book of Kells at Trinity College. The Book of Kells is an ancient manuscript that contains the four Gospels of the New Testament. It's a beautiful piece of art, and I'm so glad I got to see it in person. We also got to see the libary of Trinity College, which was amazing. The library is home to over 200,000 books, and it's one of the most beautiful libraries I've ever seen.

After the visit to the Book of Kells we had to head back to the hotel with our teacher to get our bags and check in to our rooms. We had some time to freshen up and relax before dinner. We had dinner at a lovely restaurant in the city center, and it was the perfect end to a perfect day.
After dinner we all went back to the hotel to get some rest. We had an early start the next day, and we were all excited to see what Dublin had in store for us. I can't wait to see what the rest of the week would be like!
